Xiaomi has launched its new Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 in Pakistan, at a launch event that happened in Lahore, following the unveiling of the phones in China and India. Both the phones have been categorized as “mid-range smartphones,” aimed at providing more and improved features at a lesser price.
Let’s have a look at what the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Note 8 are all about:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
This is Xiaomi’s first-ever smartphone featuring a 64MP camera and comes with a quad-camera system as well as LiquidCool system, which supposedly might make it a preferable choice for people who are into photography, gaming or just a redefined smartphone experience.
64MP Quad Camera Setup
The all-new Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with 4 sensors, thus comprising a quad camera setup. Xiaomi has called this phone the “Pioneer of 64MP Quad Camera.” The 64MP ultra-high-resolution primary sensor claims to capture highly detailed photos. Its 4-in-1 Super Pixel function allows for brighter and clearer night photography. The 20MP front camera comes with AI technology, equipped with features like beautification, portrait mode, scene detection, and face unlock. The remaining “4 cameras 4 any situation” have an ultra-close macro mode, 120 degrees wide-angle photography, picture-perfect portrait shots, slow-motion video recording, and steady hand-held night photography.
Durable Build & Elegant Design
Redmi Note 8 Pro’s front and back are made of a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 so that it can endure all kinds of accidents. With the IP52 splash-proof mechanism, the phone stays safe from the effects of rain and sweat. It also comes with a large 6.53-inch full HD+ Dot drop display and a fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted). The screen-to-body ratio is claimed to be 91.4%. The display screen is also TÜV Rheinland certified, which enables the phone to stay safe against the impact of blue light and as well as reduce strain on the eyes.
Performance and Powerful Battery
Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on the latest MediaTek Helio G90T processor (Octa-core CPU of 2.05 GHz offering extended use). To provide a better gaming experience, the phone is equipped with an Arm Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU, that maximizes game performance as you play, coupled with the LiquidCool technology that minimizes the over-heating process to maximize the game performance. A Wi-Fi X antenna facilitates a stronger internet connection, and the 1217SLS speakers improve the audio quality. Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery (the highest power capacity offered by Redmi Note Series so far). The power-saving mode prevents the battery from being drained and optimizes the screen brightness. The phone also has the option of 18 W Type-C fast charging, which saves the overall charging time.
